Why We Brew with Valor Coffee | New Life Coffee Co.

Specialty espresso from our roasting partner poured at an event coffee bar

This post reflects our roasting partnership during this period. At the time it was written, New Life Coffee Company partnered with Valor Coffee Roasters to serve high-quality, ethically sourced coffee with every pour. Here is why we chose them, and what we look for in any roaster we put our name behind.

When you order a latte or cappuccino from us, you are tasting more than good coffee -- you are tasting craftsmanship, community and a shared conviction about doing things the right way. Valor Coffee, a roaster run by three coffee fanatics in Alpharetta, GA, brought exceptional beans to every cup we served.

Shared values: people first, then coffee

Valor Coffee is not really about caffeine -- it is about people. Their mission is to uplift people through coffee, which lines up neatly with our own belief that coffee is a tool for connection rather than an end in itself. Every bag of their coffee reflected integrity, intentionality and a certain amount of joy, and that is not a small thing when you are handing a cup to someone at the start of their day.

Quality you can taste

Valor's beans are specialty-grade, meaning they sit among the top 5% of coffee produced worldwide. They source from trusted farms that prioritize sustainable practices and fair pay for growers, and once roasted, the beans are carefully profiled for sweetness, balance and clarity -- which makes them work equally well for espresso and pour-over. That is why every drink we served, from a smooth flat white to an iced latte, carried the vibrant, clean flavor that makes people stop and say that is genuinely good coffee.

The three criteria we used

We sampled a lot of roasters before committing. Three things decided it:

  • Consistency. Every batch roasted with precision, giving us reliable flavor profiles week after week -- essential when you are dialing in a machine at a new venue every weekend.
  • Ethical sourcing. Valor works directly with farmers, ensuring fair pay and sustainable practices.
  • Personality. They treat coffee as a way to serve people rather than as a product, which is exactly how we see our own business.

Brewing better together

The partnership was never only about beans -- it was about shared purpose. We both believed in excellence, generosity and creating experiences that bring people together. Whether we were serving at a wedding, a corporate event or a weekend gathering, we wanted every sip to reflect that. When we say crafted with care, we mean it: from farms around the world all the way to the cup in your hand.

Ask us what we are pouring

If you have ever wondered what makes our coffee smooth, flavorful and balanced, the roaster is a big part of the answer -- and so is a barista who knows how to treat it. Next time you visit our cart, ask what beans we are using; we love talking coffee and community. You can see the full drink lineup on our catering menu, and if you want us at your next event, tell us the date.
