Holiday Parties

The part of the holiday party that keeps people in the room

Holiday parties have a predictable shape. There is an energetic first hour, a dip after dinner, and then either people linger or they start collecting coats. A coffee bar opening at exactly that dip is one of the most reliable ways to hold a room, because it gives people a reason to stand up, move, and start a new conversation.

It also solves a problem most party planning ignores. A meaningful share of any company is not drinking — designated drivers, people who don't, people who are done for the night — and a soda gun is a thin offer. A cortado or a proper hot chocolate made to order puts those guests on equal footing with everyone at the bar, which matters more than it sounds.

Seasonal flavours do real work here. Peppermint and pumpkin spice run through the winter menu, and they read as festive in a way a standard latte does not. We can also build a short custom menu with drink names written for your company or the theme of the night.

Timing is the thing to get right. We usually open after dinner service rather than alongside it, run for two to three hours, and stay through the tail of the evening. For parties in hotel ballrooms and event venues we coordinate the load-in window with your venue contact directly, because December dock schedules are tight and shared with every other event in the building.

One practical note: December is the single busiest month in this business and dates go early. If your party is in the first half of December, booking in September or October is not premature.

Why it works

What a coffee bar adds to a holiday party

It holds the room after dinner

The post-dinner dip is when parties quietly end. A bar opening at that moment gives people a reason to stay and mix rather than drift toward the door.

A real option for non-drinkers

Designated drivers and anyone not drinking get something made for them rather than a soft drink, which changes how included they feel.

Seasonal drinks feel like an occasion

Peppermint, pumpkin spice, and proper hot chocolate land as festive. It is a small thing that makes the night feel planned rather than assembled.

It pairs with dessert instead of competing

Espresso alongside dessert service is the natural pairing, and it lifts a standard dessert table into something closer to a restaurant course.

Planning notes

Planning the December calendar

  • December dates book out first — the first two weeks go earliest. Reserve well ahead of the month itself.
  • We usually open after dinner rather than alongside it, and run two to three hours through dessert and the late portion of the evening.
  • Hotel and ballroom venues have tight December dock windows; we coordinate load-in with your venue contact directly.
  • Seasonal menu options include peppermint, pumpkin spice, and hot chocolate alongside the full espresso menu.
  • A 20% deposit secures the date; final payment is due 10 days before the event.

From our clients

What corporate teams say

“We hired Jesse and New Life Coffee to handle the premium coffee service for our exclusive FIFA hospitality lounge and he has completely blown us away. From the very beginning, his execution was stellar. We needed a tight turnaround for branding, and he managed to design, print, and install a beautiful custom cart wrap in under a week. It fit the upscale aesthetic of our lounge perfectly.”
Oritt BlumEvent Planner
“We're only halfway through our event series and already couldn't be happier with the partnership. If you're looking for a coffee and beverage partner who is reliable, easy to work with, and truly committed to creating a first-class guest experience, I highly recommend Jesse and New Life Coffee!!”
Brooke HarringtonEvent Planner
“We had a great experience having New Life Coffee at our conference over the course of two days. The barista Ian was awesome, and all our attendees really enjoyed the option of fresh espresso and fun drinks! The owner Jesse was also extremely helpful in making sure we had exactly what we envisioned for our event. Would definitely book them again!”

Questions, answered

Holiday Parties FAQs

Earlier than you would expect. December is the busiest month of the year for coffee catering and the first two weeks book out first. If your party is in early December, reserving in September or October is sensible. We do take fast-turnaround bookings when a cart and barista team are free, so it is always worth asking.
